Current Meters Calibration
Czech Calibration Station of Current Meters (CCSCM) is a calibration laboratory accredited by Czech Accreditation Institute, p.s.c., in accordance with the Czech version of EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
The laboratory has no. K 2278. Calibration of propeller-type current meters (in accordance with ISO 2537) and other hydrometric devices (electromagnetic and ultrasonic), which can be calibrated according to ISO 3455, within the ranges listed below is the accredited activity.
Nominal water temperature for calibration is 1–26 ºC.
Range of water flow velocity v is 0.02–7.00 m/s.
Measured variables are:
- water flow velocity v derived from the number of pulses of the current-meter’s rotating element (with varying pitch k), and
- water flow velocity v derived from the velocity directly indicated by the device.

CCSCM provides calibrations in accordance with International Standards ISO 3455:2007 Hydrometry – Calibration of current-meters in straight open tanks, respectively ISO 2537:2007 Hydrometry – Rotating-element current-meters. The subjects to calibration are:
- propeller-type current meters (in accordance with ISO 2537:2007), which can be calibrated according to ISO 3455:2007, cable suspended or rod suspended (with sinker weight 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 kg),
- electromagnetic (induction) devices for the measurement of water flow velocity, which can be calibrated according to ISO 3455:2007, and
- ultrasonic devices for the measurement of water flow velocity, which can be calibrated according to ISO 3455:2007.
